About the Artwork

Bronze Jumping Leaping Twisting Exuberant Cavorting Semi Abstract Romanticised Deer Buck Stag Spirit Sculpture. For Inside or Outdoors or Outside Exterior and Indoors By the Meticulous Artist Sculptor Timothy Nimmo who writes….
“This pose allowed Timothy to get quite extreme with the twisting. He wished to emulate some aspects of smoke, or fire with the shape. This leads to a greater sense of it being a spirit animal in the process of materializing. The companion piece to “Birth of the Sacred Stag”, the “Warrior” enters a world of conflict with rivals and predators. He turns to confront any and all.

Artist Comment

"Warrior" took the "juried" category Best in Show at the 2009 Sculpture in the Hills show. As with "Birth of the Sacred Stag", this piece has 2 basing options. A majority of the photos show the sculpture on a shorter base for placement on a pedestal or table. There is one shot of a taller more elegant base (approx 1.2M) for a free standing placement. Add $1000 USD to to retail sales price for the larger base. Note that there are many travertine options for these bases. Please contact Timothy for accommodations and requests for alternate travertine bases.

  • The ArtParkS Guarantee

All the sculptures on the website are described by the artists themselves, stating the material they are made from and their dimensions. If they are stated to be suitable for outdoors, they have a guarantee of 10 years, subject to the effects of weathering, which will alter their colour and finish over the years unless you give them regular cleaning and maintenance.

For instance, bronze, and to a lesser extent bronze resin/cold cast bronze, will acquire a green patina, usually rather sought after. All can attract moss, lichen, and a greenish pollen, especially under trees, which should be removed regularly with warm water and washing-up liquid.

Iron and steel will oxidise (rust), and this falls outside our guarantee.

Organic material like wood and bark willow is variable and depends to a great extent on where it is sited. You should discuss any guarantee directly with the artist, as this too falls outside our guarantee.

  • How Does ArtParkS Ensure Your Protection?

From the moment you place an order and pay ArtParkS, you are protected because half of the payment is immediately used to pay the artist’s deposit, while the other half is retained until the sculpture is delivered safely.

Insurance in transit should be arranged with the artist prior to ordering.

  • Why Choose ArtParkS for Your Purchase?

When you choose a work of art from ArtParkS, you can be confident that it has been selected by ArtParkS’s curators and will be dispatched directly from the artist’s studio or foundry only after passing their quality control process.

  • How to Purchase from ArtParkS

You can either speak with or correspond with Peter at ArtParkS before placing an order, or simply click the Buy Nowbutton and follow the instructions, adding the delivery charge unless the artist is offering free delivery.

Payment can be made by Direct Debit, cheque, credit or debit card, or PayPal, though we try to avoid the latter as we have to pass on their 5% fee to you.

  • Where Can Your Order Be Delivered?

Your sculpture can be delivered anywhere in the world, provided a delivery vehicle can gain access. For special arrangements, contact Peter at peter@artparks.co.uk or +44(0)1481 235571.
