Little Bronze Mythical Young Buck Stag Deer Statuette.Wild Animal Sculpture Sale for display Indoors Inside Interior in the House or Home Museum Quality Romanticised Emblem of Resurgence of Life.By the Prize Winning Sculptor from the USA Timothy Buck) who writes….
“Awakening Buck is something of a self portrait. Timothy went through some serious and life threatening medical issues in 2012. After almost dying, there was a long recovery and process of coming back to life again. Awakening Buck is his depiction of that process. Here is a young buck in velvet. It is unfurling as an opening leaf or bud in spring after a long winter. Many botanical elements have been blended into the biological creature to enhance this idea: the hooves have been made to look like shoots, the ears like fresh young leaves, and the antlers like growing vines.
Originally, this was to be a “bookend” piece for Dying Ibex. However, the piece took on it`s own life and could not be confined to the exact matching dimensions of Dying Ibex. The antlers in particular demanded growth outside of the confines of Ibex dimensions. The body design is quite similar but a mirror image. Conceptually it is a mirror of Dying Ibex as well. Dying Ibex is about the transition of the mortal back to spirit (death) ; Awakening Buck the transition of spirit of newness to life.
There is an alternate patina offered. There is one shot of this version on the site. It was the first version, but it was not how Timothy envisioned the piece in his mind`s eye. After it was in his galleries for a few months, he did a new version on a different cast of the edition, which he liked very much. He was going to withdraw the first, but too many people favoured that one. Since then, the vote has been split down the middle, so it`s a rare occasion where he offers both.

More about timothy nimmo- The ArtParkS Guarentee
All the sculptures on the website are described by the Artists themselves stating the materiel they are made from and their dimensions. If they are stated to be suitable for outdoors they have a guarentee of 10 years subject to the effects of weathering which will alter their colour and finish over the years unless you give them regular cleaning and maintenance. For instance Bronze and to a lesser extent bronze resin/cold cast bronze will aquire a green patina, usually rather sought after and all could attract moss lichen and a greeny pollen especially under trees which should be removed regularly with warm water and washing up liquid.
Iron and steel will oxidise(rust ) and this falls outside our guarentee.
Organic materiel like wood, bark willow is variable and depends to a great extent on where it is sited and you should discuss any guarentee direct with the Artist as this too falls outside our Guarentee. - How does ArtParkS protect you?
