About the Artwork

Love and Lust statue. The Symbolic Contemporary Post Modern Minimalist Abstract Half Heart and Half Buttocks or Breast sculpture. Depicting the 2 sides of Eve in Black Cast Aluminium and the position of the forbidden fruit, `the Apple`, in the Garden of Eden and the mirroring Female Anatomy was used as a reference point for this work. The Naked Abstract Form seemingly walks towards the viewer when viewed from either the front or rear in an act of Perpetual Seduction. The Olduvai Gorge in Tanzania (East Africa) is where Dr. Leakey discovered the remains of the oldest known human ancestor named Lucy in 1959. It is believed to be the cradle of mankind. Eve was black, hence the color of this sculpture.

Artist Comment

This is one of my favorite sculptures. For me it epitomizes Raw Female Sexuality and Femininity. This sculpture is also available in other Metal such as Polished Stainless Steel or Bronze. The Bronze can be with patina. The sculpture can be outside or indoors depending on the finish. Painted or polished bronze finish would be suitable for indoors.

  • The ArtParkS Guarantee

All the sculptures on the website are described by the artists themselves, stating the material they are made from and their dimensions. If they are stated to be suitable for outdoors, they have a guarantee of 10 years, subject to the effects of weathering, which will alter their colour and finish over the years unless you give them regular cleaning and maintenance.

For instance, bronze, and to a lesser extent bronze resin/cold cast bronze, will acquire a green patina, usually rather sought after. All can attract moss, lichen, and a greenish pollen, especially under trees, which should be removed regularly with warm water and washing-up liquid.

Iron and steel will oxidise (rust), and this falls outside our guarantee.

Organic material like wood and bark willow is variable and depends to a great extent on where it is sited. You should discuss any guarantee directly with the artist, as this too falls outside our guarantee.

  • How Does ArtParkS Ensure Your Protection?

From the moment you place an order and pay ArtParkS, you are protected because half of the payment is immediately used to pay the artist’s deposit, while the other half is retained until the sculpture is delivered safely.

Insurance in transit should be arranged with the artist prior to ordering.

  • Why Choose ArtParkS for Your Purchase?
