About the Artwork

Small Powerful Thinking Crouching Man sculpture, or Small Contemporary Masculine sculpture, For Indoors Inside In your Home by the Perceptive Sculptor Marc Bodie
All the ethereal grace and splendour of the humble cloud, is here in this sculpture. With this male figure the sculptor has poetically captured the essence of a cloud`s grace and aloofness. This is so beautifully done, the way this closed self-contained figure appears to drift effortlessly suspended by its lack of weight with a hand softly trailing as a child would in the water over the edge of a gently drifting boat. The face serenely gazes down at the earthbound man and his landscape domain. This delightful maquette sculpture gently nudges us to re-appreciate these heavenly hosts and it would beautifully grace any shelf to give any house or office a little bit of visual poetry.

Artist Comment

One of my `Cloud Series` This sculpture was very much influenced by my happy, sunny days as a child when, laying on my back looking up at the white clouds moving and morphing in a perfect blue sky, I would gaze in wonder and awe as I watched figures animals and castles shifting and merging into each other and challenging my young imagination.

  • The ArtParkS Guarentee

All the sculptures on the website are described by the Artists themselves stating the materiel they are made from and their dimensions. If they are stated to be suitable for outdoors they have a guarentee of 10 years subject to the effects of weathering which will alter their colour and finish over the years unless you give them  regular cleaning and maintenance. For instance Bronze and to a lesser extent bronze resin/cold cast bronze will aquire a green patina, usually rather sought after and all could attract moss  lichen and a greeny pollen especially under trees which should be removed regularly with warm water and washing up liquid.
Iron and steel will oxidise(rust ) and this falls outside our guarentee.
Organic materiel like wood, bark willow is variable and depends to a great extent on where it is sited and you should discuss any guarentee direct with the Artist as this too falls outside our Guarentee.
