About the Artwork

Abstract Medusa sculpture, Contemporary Medusa statue, by the Dynamic sculptress Kate Lipecky, who adds…

““Medusa” Is Associated With Greek Mythology Sculpture. A Mythological Woman With Venomous Snakes In Place Of Hair. Medusa has been portrayed by Leonardo di Vinci, Caravaggio or Salvadore Dali. My design of “Medusa” is based on the traditions of the old era through its traditional form with strong expressionism, which is part of the language of modern art. As a processual object, the sculpture reveals to us a new face. It is an artifact of both traditional forms such as the old masters and modern forms because of the multiplicity which the character has. I chose a chrome aluminum base so that the mood or the expressions of the piece can change depending on exposure of light and the viewing angle. “Medusa” is made in aluminum. 46” x 38.5” x 17.71” 116cm x 97.79cm x 44cm, 112kg. The base of the sculpture is made from chrome aluminium to give a mirror effect. This sculpture isnewly made, in pristine condition.

  • The ArtParkS Guarantee

All the sculptures on the website are described by the artists themselves, stating the material they are made from and their dimensions. If they are stated to be suitable for outdoors, they have a guarantee of 10 years, subject to the effects of weathering, which will alter their colour and finish over the years unless you give them regular cleaning and maintenance.

For instance, bronze, and to a lesser extent bronze resin/cold cast bronze, will acquire a green patina, usually rather sought after. All can attract moss, lichen, and a greenish pollen, especially under trees, which should be removed regularly with warm water and washing-up liquid.

Iron and steel will oxidise (rust), and this falls outside our guarantee.

Organic material like wood and bark willow is variable and depends to a great extent on where it is sited. You should discuss any guarantee directly with the artist, as this too falls outside our guarantee.

  • How Does ArtParkS Ensure Your Protection?

From the moment you place an order and pay ArtParkS, you are protected because half of the payment is immediately used to pay the artist’s deposit, while the other half is retained until the sculpture is delivered safely.

Insurance in transit should be arranged with the artist prior to ordering.
