“This is a figure taken from John Singer Sargent`s painting `Gassed` and realised as a recycled steel sculpture. It attempts to show the frailty and vulnerability of one of these young men, being led from the battlefield with mustard gas poisoning. The choice of rusted burnt recycled steel as a medium reflects the horror and destruction of the battlefield and the passing of time since that era.”

If they are stated to be suitable for outdoors, they have a guarantee of 10 years, subject to the effects of weathering, which will alter their colour and finish over the years unless you give them regular cleaning and maintenance.
For instance, bronze, and to a lesser extent bronze resin/cold cast bronze, will acquire a green patina, usually rather sought after. All can attract moss, lichen, and a greenish pollen, especially under trees, which should be removed regularly with warm water and washing-up liquid.
Iron and steel will oxidise (rust), and this falls outside our guarantee.
Organic material like wood and bark willow is variable and depends to a great extent on where it is sited. You should discuss any guarantee directly with the artist, as this too falls outside our guarantee.
