About the Artwork

Life Size Contemporary Aligator sculpture Big Crock sculpture, by Sebastian Novaky, who is a contemporary German Pop artist. He crafts his wonderful sculptures in accordance with his signature “New Wild” ethos of living positively. Influenced by Jeff Koons, Takashi Murakami, and Robert Indiana, Novaky renders popular iconography such as Lion, Dragon, and Black Panther as polished, monochromatic totems made from industrial materials. Born on 1976 in Düsseldorf, Gemany, Novaky studied at the National School of Fine Arts. He currently lives and works in the city of his birth.
Sebastian Novaky is a sculptor whose works are designed around the concept of “New Wild” in which the artists seeks to transform negative impulses into positive emotions. Born in Düsseldorf where he decided to become a sculptor. Inspired by the conventions of Pop Art and New Realism, he works largely with industrial materials, such as resin and stainless steel, as well as corten steel, marble, and bronze. His favorite subjects include monumental and decorative animals, often drawing comparisons to Jeff Koons and Robert Indiana. Since 2014, he has been ranked among the top 10 best-selling modern artists in the world by Art Price.
His well-known leopard and panther sculptures, as well as his other works, seek to reflect the more instinctive and impulsive parts of human nature and refine those impulses through the quest for perfection.
His work has been exhibited at numerous institutions and art fairs around the world, including the Art Elysées art fair, Art Paris art fair, Artiferia in Bologna, INCEPTION Gallery, and Opera Gallery, among others.

Artist Comment

“In each sculpture I have already made I tried to put a symbol telling a story. Nothing is there by random or only for decoration,” he said of his work. “For example, the Wild Kong Oil reject humans actions on earth.”

  • The ArtParkS Guarentee

All the sculptures on the website are described by the Artists themselves stating the materiel they are made from and their dimensions. If they are stated to be suitable for outdoors they have a guarentee of 10 years subject to the effects of weathering which will alter their colour and finish over the years unless you give them  regular cleaning and maintenance. For instance Bronze and to a lesser extent bronze resin/cold cast bronze will aquire a green patina, usually rather sought after and all could attract moss  lichen and a greeny pollen especially under trees which should be removed regularly with warm water and washing up liquid.
Iron and steel will oxidise(rust ) and this falls outside our guarentee.
Organic materiel like wood, bark willow is variable and depends to a great extent on where it is sited and you should discuss any guarentee direct with the Artist as this too falls outside our Guarentee.
