About the Artwork

The cobra, a creature of both grace and latent danger, serves as the subject of this work. Its form has long held a special place in my artistic vision. The theme here is an exploration of the primal forces of nature and how they coexist, or perhaps clash, with the modern world we’ve built around us. Crafted from mirror – finish stainless steel, this sculpture takes on a unique quality. The reflective surface of the material not only mirrors the surrounding environment, creating a constantly changing visual experience as the light and scenery shift, but it also acts as a metaphor for our own introspection. When you look at this cobra, you also see a part of yourself and the world around you reflected back, inviting you to ponder our connection to the natural world. My inspiration for this piece came from countless hours spent observing nature and reflecting on our place in it. I was struck by the cobra’s ability to command respect with its mere presence, a power that seems both ancient and timeless. In the creative process, I started with countless sketches, trying to capture the essence of the cobra’s posture and the energy it exudes. Then, working hand – in – hand with skilled artisans, we used modern metal – working techniques to shape the stainless steel into this sinuous form. One fascinating aspect of this sculpture is the way it engages with its viewers. As your reflection mingles with the image of the cobra, there’s a sense of a dialogue being opened up. It’s not just a static work of art; it’s a dynamic interaction that challenges us to think about our relationship with nature in a new light. In the world of modern stainless – steel animal sculptures, the Cobra Head Statue is my attempt to bridge the gap between the wild and the civilized, to bring a touch of nature’s mystery and power into our urban landscapes. I hope it will touch your hearts and inspire you to see the beauty and complexity of the world around us.
