Big Copper Whales sculptures for sale or commission for suspending/Hanging outside in the garden, yard or submersed underwater in the sea or giant aquarium or wall mounted by the versatile and dynamic sculptor Aragorn Dick-Reed. His sculptures are described…
“Whales have become a new theme for Aragorn`s Fish and Whales sculptures for sale. Their seasonal appearance in the Atlantic Ocean below his house on the north side of Copper life size Whales for Beach, under water or beach commission statues. Tortola is a true inspiration. Translating their awesome size to copper has long been a challenge. However, in 2010 the developer David Johnson commissioned Aragorn to sculpt a pod of 4 copper whales for the clubhouse of the BVI`s newest high-end residential development, Oil Nut Bay.
The copper worked well for forming the large semi relief pieces, over a pipe armature. Aragorn then collaborated with Green VI Glass artist Jake Barron to make the whale eyes. The glass makes a great companion to the copper, and the deep mysterious gleam of the glass eyes gives the whales a very life like allure.

- The ArtParkS Guarantee
All the sculptures on the website are described by the artists themselves, stating the material they are made from and their dimensions. If they are stated to be suitable for outdoors, they have a guarantee of 10 years, subject to the effects of weathering, which will alter their colour and finish over the years unless you give them regular cleaning and maintenance.
For instance, bronze, and to a lesser extent bronze resin/cold cast bronze, will acquire a green patina, usually rather sought after. All can attract moss, lichen, and a greenish pollen, especially under trees, which should be removed regularly with warm water and washing-up liquid.
Iron and steel will oxidise (rust), and this falls outside our guarantee.
Organic material like wood and bark willow is variable and depends to a great extent on where it is sited. You should discuss any guarantee directly with the artist, as this too falls outside our guarantee.
- How Does ArtParkS Ensure Your Protection?
From the moment you place an order and pay ArtParkS, you are protected because half of the payment is immediately used to pay the artist’s deposit, while the other half is retained until the sculpture is delivered safely.
