If you had to describe Vicki Atkinson’s work at a glance, whimsical and quirky spring to mind but, look again and a resonance of serenity, poise and expression exude from the sculptures.
Her work has a simple honesty which she attributes to everyday observations and an interest in early mythology.
She has been influenced by the work of many great sculptors, such as Rodin, Moore and Giacometti. Painters, too, have inspired her, such as Modigliani, Picasso and Beryl Cook!
