Simon Archer has a formal background in Fine Art and sculpture and now works exclusively as a wood sculptor/chainsaw artist, creating unique artworks from dead or fallen trees.
“Most of my work is commission based, whether it`s carving large dead tree stumps in parks or small pieces for domestic gardens. I also try to make time to experiment with my studio work, trying new ideas and working more intuitively.”

Simon Archer is from Liverpool, UK and has a formal background in Fine Art and sculpture and now works exclusively as a wood sculptor/chainsaw artist.
Simon`s work is predominantly commission based, whether it`s carving large dead trees in parks or small pieces for domestic gardens.
Simon also competes at several chainsaw carving events each year.
In between commissions and events he likes to experiment with his studio work, trying new ideas and working intuitively.
Although based near Liverpool, Simon works throughout the UK, Europe and America.
Simon Archer has done numerous pieces for National Trust Formby, Liverpool including several large works for the Asparagus Trail 2014-2018
