About me
As an artist, my work embodies various technical and aesthetic forms covering a range of media and styles. My artistic practice revolves around my ability to use found objects, especially for my steel sculptures. I also model in clay mostly for figurative pieces which are usually cast in either bronze, bronze resin or plaster.
I also work with wood using a chain saw to sculpt.
I became aware of abstraction as a child and through my childhood experiences when I used cracks on the walls to form images.
Growing up for me was spending most of my playtime with craftsmen, especially blacksmiths and carpenters, subconsciously understudying their craftsmanship which has subliminally in later years influenced my creative development.
I draw influence from the spaces around me, from the geometrics of nature, hence my sculptures are architectural and rooted. I like creating sculptures that are aesthetically balanced, and which people can interact with, enjoy and be inspired by.
I have exhibited in the UK, USA and Canada and my sculptures are in public spaces and private homes. I have lived and worked in the United States for some time. I am now based in the UK.
My sculptures are suitable for both indoors and outdoors.
