Mediums Used

Ben Greenwood`s sculpture is mainly figurative with modernist elements, making clear reference to early 20th Century sculpture. By using traditional casting techniques and materials while treating his subjects in a uniquely modern way, he moves away from the academic confines of traditional sculpture, resulting in work that shows true affection and humour.

Biography

A Leeds Metropolitan University graduate, Ben has worked as a professional sculptor and model maker in the animation industry working on such projects as `Creature Comforts`, `Wallace and Gromit` and Tim Burton`s `The corpse Bride`. He is currently working as a freelance artist designing and making two and three dimensional work for the museum and exhibition sector and taking on private and public commisions of both sculpture and murals.
