I was born in USSR behind a steel carton, isolated from the rest of the world in political, economical and cultural sense. But I can’t complain about my childhood. It was happy and I received a Fine Art adduction for free. Four year program in so called Children’s Fine Art School I managed to complete in three years. Loved it. Good school. Learned a lot. After High School, I had a luxury to study architecture in one of the most prestiges university in a country - in the city of Lviv, in western Ukraine.
In Soviet Union to teach Fine Art, Music or physical education, one had to have five years of university in specific field. So I became a Fine Art teacher after five years of study. Graduated with distinction. And again I loved everything, especially sculpting classes. After that I truly enjoyed three years of teaching kids beauty of Fine Art.
In 1990 I immigrated to Alberta, Canada and spent 10 years decorating two churches in a twelve century stile Byzantine iconography. Every square inch of interior walls was painted in traditional egg tempera and gilded in 24 karat pure gold.
