“Winter Facing” by Jonathan Hateley is a stunning bronze sculpture that embodies the resilience and beauty of enduring harsh elements. The figure, a windswept female form, appears to stride forward against an invisible current, her body composed of intricate, leaf-like patterns. This open latticework design gives the impression of fragility, yet it is balanced by the strength of the material and the determined posture of the figure. The delicate interplay of light and shadow within the network of branches evokes the transition of seasons, with golden highlights hinting at the promise of renewal amidst the chill of winter. Mounted on a dark base, the sculpture captures a moment of grace and perseverance, inviting viewers to reflect on the quiet strength within.

More about jonathan hateley- The ArtParkS Guarantee
All the sculptures on the website are described by the artists themselves, stating the material they are made from and their dimensions. If they are stated to be suitable for outdoors, they have a guarantee of 10 years, subject to the effects of weathering, which will alter their colour and finish over the years unless you give them regular cleaning and maintenance.
For instance, bronze, and to a lesser extent bronze resin/cold cast bronze, will acquire a green patina, usually rather sought after. All can attract moss, lichen, and a greenish pollen, especially under trees, which should be removed regularly with warm water and washing-up liquid.
Iron and steel will oxidise (rust), and this falls outside our guarantee.
Organic material like wood and bark willow is variable and depends to a great extent on where it is sited. You should discuss any guarantee directly with the artist, as this too falls outside our guarantee.
