About the Artwork

Abstract Fighting Bull Charging Sculpture, By Sebastian Novaky who writes….
“When I was on a rural trip, I witnessed a bull in its natural element, exuding raw power and vitality. That encounter sparked my creative impulse to capture its essence in a stainless steel sculpture.
The “the Bull” sculpture features a dynamic, charging stance, mimicking the powerful movements of a real bull ready to charge. The intricate hollowed-out details not only add a sense of lightness but also echo the muscular contours of the bull in nature. The lattice-like structure seems to pulsate with energy, much like the veins and muscles beneath a bull’s skin.
The theme of this work is the harmonious fusion of the natural vitality symbolized by the bull and the modernity represented by stainless steel. The bull, a symbol of strength and tenacity in nature, contrasts with the sleek, reflective surface of stainless steel, creating a striking visual dialogue between the organic and the man-made.
An intriguing aspect of the sculpture is its visual transformation under different lighting conditions. In natural light, the reflective quality of the stainless steel enhances the sculpture’s three-dimensionality, making the bull seem more lifelike. Under artificial lights, the play of light and shadow through the hollowed-out parts creates a mesmerizing effect, adding depth and complexity to the work.

Artist Comment

The second dialog takes place between the art object and the viewing audience. This depends on both the ability of the object to stimulate a reaction in the viewer and the personal history the viewer brings to the experience. Great art emotionally moves people. It contains honesty in both conception and execution that comes from deep within. Before Alta Mira, through out time, the greatest art has been used to communicate man`s most urgent messages. These messages are usually not clever, cynical or selfish but come from the deepest reaches of the soul.

  • The ArtParkS Guarantee

All the sculptures on the website are described by the artists themselves, stating the material they are made from and their dimensions. If they are stated to be suitable for outdoors, they have a guarantee of 10 years, subject to the effects of weathering, which will alter their colour and finish over the years unless you give them regular cleaning and maintenance.

For instance, bronze, and to a lesser extent bronze resin/cold cast bronze, will acquire a green patina, usually rather sought after. All can attract moss, lichen, and a greenish pollen, especially under trees, which should be removed regularly with warm water and washing-up liquid.

Iron and steel will oxidise (rust), and this falls outside our guarantee.

Organic material like wood and bark willow is variable and depends to a great extent on where it is sited. You should discuss any guarantee directly with the artist, as this too falls outside our guarantee.
