Artist Comment

This sculpture come as a follow up to a challenge proposed to the artist: how to do a water themed stone sculpture. With the starting point of hers abstract series of pieces, where the same shape arranged in different ways ways, with or without other elements, can report to different ideas, memories or concepts, the artist experimented with water patterns and textures. Foramen is the the latin word for hole and still is used today as a reference to any opening for the passage of muscles, vessels, arteries, veins and other structures, through bones or between ligaments, allowing the connection of one part of the body to another. In the sculpture, the hole marks the intersection of two planes.

  • The ArtParkS Guarantee

All the sculptures on the website are described by the artists themselves, stating the material they are made from and their dimensions. If they are stated to be suitable for outdoors, they have a guarantee of 10 years, subject to the effects of weathering, which will alter their colour and finish over the years unless you give them regular cleaning and maintenance.

For instance, bronze, and to a lesser extent bronze resin/cold cast bronze, will acquire a green patina, usually rather sought after. All can attract moss, lichen, and a greenish pollen, especially under trees, which should be removed regularly with warm water and washing-up liquid.

Iron and steel will oxidise (rust), and this falls outside our guarantee.

Organic material like wood and bark willow is variable and depends to a great extent on where it is sited. You should discuss any guarantee directly with the artist, as this too falls outside our guarantee.

  • How Does ArtParkS Ensure Your Protection?

From the moment you place an order and pay ArtParkS, you are protected because half of the payment is immediately used to pay the artist’s deposit, while the other half is retained until the sculpture is delivered safely.

Insurance in transit should be arranged with the artist prior to ordering.

  • Why Choose ArtParkS for Your Purchase?
