Mo Gardner`s approach to carving stone or wood is to release what is trapped beneath the surface. She works to allow the forms to emerge from the source material. She only remove what she feels to be absolutely essential to enable others to see what is there, without losing to much of the natural element.

Credentials

Teaching Experience
Mo Gardner teaches in adult education and runs stone carving workshops in schools. Her students ages range from 4 to 90. Since she started teaching in schools in 1995 she has taught more than 20,000 children to carve stone.
Public Acquisitions
Mo Gardner has an international reputation as a sculptor, with her work in the USA, Venezuela, Japan and several European countries, including Hungary.
