Donnas Hermena Peterson`s description
I have always been a creative person working principally with pots, I have felt an affinity with clay from an early age. Clay is a uniquely tactile and malleable material and my lifelong fascination with it lies primarily in its versatile properties and its universal functions.

These bridge plaques were commissioned by Wigan Council. England.
Working from a design brief, a clay master model was made. Moulds of these were made in resin. Next sand casts were made at the foundry before being produced in cast iron. The picture on the top left shows the bare metal casts before the patination was applied. The finished plaques (right) are now mounted on Breastan Bridge and Saddle Bridge. Wigan. England.
