Dana studied art institute in Prague in 1994-98. Comes from the family with a long tradition of wood carvers and sculptors in Czech republic.

Having grown up with a lineage of grandfathers and an uncle who were distinguished woodcarvers, Nachlinger has eagerly chosen to follow their practice, incorporating her own contemporary ideas to the craft. Inspired by all forms of art that lie beyond wood carving and sculptures, She now is the 4th generation of wood carvers. She was influenced and taught by her grandfather from early childhood.

Nachlinger approaches solid slabs of wood with a creative outlook, transforming them into intricately detailed figures in the likeness of humans, animals and nature.

Since 1999 she works as a free-lance sculptor and carver. She works mainly with wood of any kind. Dana creates amazing sculptures out of wood. With their detailed texture and shape,
She is creating these sculptures with her talented hands, that show off the beauty in the grain of the wood.
