Mediums Used

Amy Goodman S.E.A started drawing and sculpting from a young age, whether her subject matter be of people or animals. Having ridden all her life, horses have always been a passion and feature frequently in her work. She loves working in different media and has developed her unique style of welded steel, bronze sculpture, and a variety of 2D work, including her distinctive equestrian ink & acrylic wash paintings. Her work is shown internationally, increasingly in the public realm.
Whatever the medium, her focus is always to capture the movement and real character of her subject matter. A few strokes of paint, or a few lines of steel can say so much.
All her sculptures are individually made. She will consider making a further similar commission in any of the series in welded steel, and many of her bronzes and bronze-resins are available as limited editions.
As long a I can remember I have drawn and sculpted animals, particularly horses. I studied art at A-level and then went on to do a degree course in Fine Art, where I discovered welding and sculpture on a larger scale, a challenge I relish. The character and movement of the subject matter are very important to me – a few strokes of paint, or a few lines of steel can say so much.
